Before and After Kitchen Renovation

Kitchen Remodel - We removed the fridge wall and opened up the kitchen into the combined back entry/laundry room area.  This increased the size of the kitchen and eliminated some unusable space.  We created a new laundry room with doors to conceal the washer and dryer.

 

This is the picture that the customer gave us of what they wanted.  The mateials used in this picture are very high end materials and did not fit in the customer's budget.

 

 

We were able to value engineer and find similar materials and create the same look and stay in the cusotmer's budget.

Fabulous Modern Home on Lake Wylie

Zar Custom Homes recently completed a fabulouse home on Lake Wylie in SC.  This home is on the former site of the home of George Shinn, former Charlotte Hornets owner, and the original Charlotte Hornet tiled on the bottom of the pool remains. 

The original home on this site was struck by lightning and burned to the ground but the concrete pool remained.  During the construction of this home, we refurbished the pool, added a raised hot tub, and completely redid the pool deck, while preserving the original tiled Hornet.

The views from this beautiful home site are almost as breathtaking as the view of this awesome home from the Lake.  The home is built into the earth spanning 4 stories from the lake up to the street level.  The curved commercial glass around the home allows for great views from almost anywhere in the house, as the sun reflects off of it during the day.

Zar Custom Homes Wins STARS Award

The 21st Century Building Expo and Conference was kicked off in style Wednesday evening with “An Evening in Venice” themed awards gala. The STARS Awards, sponsored by the North Carolina Home Builders Association, were held Wednesday evening at the Hilton Charlotte Center City in downtown Charlotte. Members of the local Home Builders Associations from across the state gathered to honor deserving recipients for their achievements in the last year. There were awards for marketing, sales, merchandising, architecture, and special projects.

Zar Custom Homes, Inc., from Charlotte, was awarded the STARS award for the category “Best Single Family Detached Home with a sales price over $1Million between 5,000 and 10,000 square feet”. Zar Custom Homes is a member of the Lake Norman Home Builders Association and the Charlotte Home Builders Association and builds in the Charlotte Metropolitan area in both NC and SC.

The overwhelming theme of the evening was “only the strong survive” as the group was continually congratulated for surviving in the current economy. Zar Custom Homes has survived the tough economy in the last several years due to diversity, continued advertising, hard work, and customer referrals.
